Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, performed circumambulation around the Ka’bah while riding his camel, Al-Qaswa, and he was touching the corners with a staff in his hand. He did not find a place in the mosque where his camel could sit and he had to dismount on the men’s hands. He led his camel to the bottom of the valley where she sat down. The Messenger of Allah later on gave a speech while riding his camel and, after thanking Allah the Exalted and praising Him as He should be praised, he said, “O people! Indeed, Allah the Exalted has removed from you the pride of the times of ignorance and the glorification of its ancestors. People are of two types: a man who is righteous, Godfearing, and noble to Allah; and a man who is wicked, miserable, and insignificant to Allah. Indeed, Allah the Almighty has said: O people, verily, We created you male and female and made you into tribes and nations that you might know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you (49:13).” Then he said, “I say this word to you and I ask Allah to forgive me and you.”

عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال طاف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم فتح مكة على ناقته القصواء يستلم الأركان بمحجن في يده، فما وجد لها مناخاً في المسجد حتى نزل صلى الله عليه وسلم على أيدي الرجال، فخرج بها إلى بطن المسيل فأنيخت، ثم إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خطبهم على راحلته فحمد الله تعالى وأثنى عليه بما هو له أهل، ثم قال يا أيها الناس إن الله تعالى قد أذهب عنكم عبِّيَّةَ الجاهلية وتعظمها بآبائها فالناس رجلان رجل برّ تقي كريم على الله تعالى ورجل فاجر شقي هين على الله تعالى إن الله عز وجل يقول يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ شُعُوباً وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَـٰرَفُوۤاْ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عَندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَـٰكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ ثم قال صلى الله عليه وسلم أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم
