For those who were unaware of the Prophet's fasting on the day of his birth (Mondays) and needed the reference: Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, p. 568, no. 2606. Abu Qataadah al-Ansaaree reported that when Allah's Messenger (pbuh) was asked about fasting on monday, he replied, "It is the day on which I was born and the day on which revelation was sent down to me."
