◆ The Book Of Deuteronomy ◆

Although book of Deuteronomy identifies Moses as the book's author because it begins as "These are the words that Moses spoke to all Israel" (1:1) but we even read about the details of his death and burial story
 as follows,

Deuteronomy 34: 5-10
5 And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said.
6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.
7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.
8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over.
9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses.
10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,"

Let us look at what the NIV Bible theologians say about the books of Deuteronomy:

▣ "The book itself testifies that, for the most part, Moses wrote it (1:5; 31:9,22,24), and other OT books agree (1Ki 2:3, 8:53; 2ki 14:6; 18:12)--though the preamble (1:1-5) may have been written by someone else, and the report of Moses' death (ch.34) was almost certainly written by someone else. (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 240)"

we can clearly see, that there are various evidence that proves beyond the shadow of the doubt that Moses was not the sole author of the book. Because He couldn't have possibly have written about his own death.

▣ "The accession of Josiah and his eagerness to restore the worship of Jehovah led to the renovation of the Temple, and in the course of this, B.C. 621, the book of Deuteronomy was discovered. The priest took it to the king, who joyfully welcomed it and set about putting its program of religious reformation into effect. The dramatic story is told in 2 Kings 22 and 23. Josiah put a stop to the idolatrous practices of the people,..." (Edgar J. Goodspeed 'How came the Bible?' pgs 22-23)

Another evidence we can see that this book was not discovered by any of divine Inspiration.

● With lots of theologies and scholary views yet the question arise about the author of book of Deuteronomy. According to the Documentary Hypothesis he was an anonymous writer who around 621 BC supposedly wrote Deuteronomy. We know very little about him (or her). But this does not eradicate the mystery.

3. Ibn Umar, the son of Umar bin Al-Khattab, reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:

بـني الإسـلام على خـمـس: شـهـادة أن لا إلـه إلا الله وأن محمد رسول الله، وإقامة الصلاة، وإيـتـاء الـزكـاة، وحـج البيت، وصـوم رمضان

Islam has been built on five [pillars]: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammed is the messenger of Allah, performing the prayers, paying the zakat, making the pilgrimage to the House, and fasting in Ramadan.
