"Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." [Quran 3:16]One of the characteristics of the righteous is that they either speak about good things or they keep silent. The reason why they avoid idle and slanderous conversation is because they know that on the Day of Qiyaamah they will be silenced and their body parts will bear witness Judgement (Last Day) against them. Allaah, Most Glorious, spoke of this saying:
Their hearing, sight and skins bear witness against them concerning what they used to do.” Soorah Fussilat (41):20
