In Matthew 4:8-9 we read that "The devil took him (Jesus) to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” "
Now what was Jesus Answer ?!!
did he said "How dare you ask me that don't you know that I am God?" or something like that ?!!
-No, he did not
How could the devil even tempt Jesus if he was God ?! the devils fear even to hears God's name, logically he can not do that with God
"You believe that there is one God. That's fine! Even the demons believe that and tremble with fear." (James 2:19)
"When someone is tempted, he shouldn't say that God is tempting him. God can't be tempted by evil, and God doesn't tempt anyone." (James 1:13).
beside that was the devil an idiot that he makes such an offer to God himself who already have everything ?!! ofcourse not
so this situation would never happen if Jesus was God. So what Jesus said ?!!
"Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him ONLY.’ (Matt. 4:10)
he (Jesus) - quoting from the ten commandments - told the Devil that he (Jesus) supposed to worship God alone as the scriptures says, so Jesus did not believed of himself to be God nor did the Devil, rather Jesus described himself only as a servant of God.
