Holdbrooks was one of terrifying guantanamo prison's guards. where the prisoners get tortured in the most horrible ways by the order of the US, the country of freedom & democracy!
one day Holdbrooks received orders from his leaders to torture the detainees in the most brutal ways, and they kept telling him and the other guards :
"those detainees are the worst criminals on earth, they work for Usama bin laden, and they will kill who once they got the chance"
yet Holdbrooks used to treat them kindly and try to make things easier to them because of the horrible inhumane treatment they received there, till the prisoners used to call him "the nice guard",
and even some of his mates accused him with treason!
what attracted him the most to these detainees is that smile on their faces while saying "Alhamdulellaah'' !!
when the night comes, agnostic Holdbrooks used to go with his mates to drink, and practice adultery.
one night he went comforting one of the prisoners , detainee no. 590, a moroccoan muslim named Ahmad Ar-rashidi, after talking with him .. Holdbrook had a cultural shock!!
it was the very first time he actually knows the true Islam.. not that islam america had tarnished its image.
so he used to go back to him every night instead of spending those nights with friends, to learn Islam from him, he bought books about islam, started to read and read until one day, he got a paper and a pen and pushed them to Ahmad arashidi through his cell and asked him to write how to pronounce shahada in arabic!!!!
and there .. from the heart of guantanamo he yelled and said the shahada with his loudest voice !! and named himself " Mustafa Abdullah " .. and his life turned from dancing,music, tattoos and forbidden relationships , into salaah and zikr of Allah and memorizing Qur'an .. ♥
he left the service of the US army at 2005 , he works as a consultant for the tamp islamic center.. yet even after he left guantamo he couldnt forget the image of torturing detainees which became like a nightmare keep chasing him till now!
