“the great calamity is: when person is pleased with himself and convinced with his knowledge. And this trial is widespread among majority of creation. You find the Jew or the Christian thinking that he is upon truth, and he does not look or study the proof on the Prophet-hood of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). And if he hears something that softens his heart such as the miraculous Qur’an, he runs away so that he does not hear it. And likewise is every person of desire who sticksto it, either because it is the faith of his father and his family, or because he looked in an opinion and saw it to be right and he did not look in what opposes it, nor did he discussed with scholars so that they clarify to him his error”.
