It was told that a muslim from salaf was sitting with his old mom , she slept in his knees so he did not sleep and he did not change his position until the dawn time because he did not want to wake her up !
Ibn masud (ra) brought water to his mom but he found her sleeping , he stay awake the whole night waiting for her to wake up to give her water because he have feared that if he go to sleep , his mom will wake up and will not find water
hasan albasri used to eat not with his mom from the same dish because he have always feared that he might eat something that his mom wanted to eat it
A man from tabiin was being called by his mother, he said (yes) but he felt that his voice was louder than his mother's voice which is disrespectful , he repented from this act and freed two slaves..
`Abdullah bin dinar reported: `Abdullah bin `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) met a bedouin on his way to Makkah, he greeted him, offered him to mount the donkey he was riding and gave him the turban he was wearing on his head. Ibn Dinar said to him: "May Allah make you pious! Bedouins can be satisfied with anything you give them (i.e., what you have given the bedouin is too much). Upon this, `Abdullah bin `Umar said, the father of this man was one of my father's friends whom he loved best, and I heard Messenger of Allah saying, "The finest act of goodness is the good treatment of someone whom one's father loves".
Allah the almighty say : "And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word(23)And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."(24)"
(Quran : Surat Al-'Isrā' 24/25 )
==> My brother/Sister ! Wen will you be nice to your parents ?! we , as muslims , dont have a mother's day or a father's day ,
but everyday is a parents day ...treating them nice is a daily great chance to be in a high rank in paradise so
