Prayer Prohibits Immorality & Wrongdoing

اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ

Recite (O Muhammad ﷺ) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Quran), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat). Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha' (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed, etc.) and the remembering (praising, etc.) of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising, etc.) Allah in prayers, etc.]. And Allah knows what you do.

(اے نبی!) اس کتاب کی تلاوت کیجئے جو آپ کی طرف وحی کی گئی ہے اور نماز قائم کیجئے۔ نماز یقینا بے حیائی اور برے کاموں سے روکتی ہے اور اللہ کا ذکر تو سب سے بڑی چیز ہے اور جو کام تم کرتے ہو اللہ اسے جانتا ہے۔

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Yunus 10, Verse 4, Part 11

إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ إِنَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ

To Him is the return of all of you. The Promise of Allah is true. It is He Who begins the creation and then will repeat it, that He may reward with justice those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and did deeds of righteousness. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of boiling fluids and painful torment because they used to disbelieve.

تمہیں اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے۔ یہ اللہ کا پختہ وعدہ ہے، وہی خلقت کی ابتدا کرتا ہے اور وہی دوبارہ پیدا کرے گا تاکہ ان لوگوں کو انصاف کے ساتھ بدلہ دے جو ایمان لائے اور جو نیک عمل کرتے رہے۔ اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا ان کے لئے کھولتا ہوا پانی اور دردناک عذاب ہوگا۔ یہ اس انکار حق کا بدلہ ہے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔

Subhan Allaah, there was no X-ray or scanning machines 1400 years ago and neither people were educated to understand and write all those stuff but still look how beautifully each and every detail about the fetus is mentioned in the Qur'an which scientists are discovering now. Allaahu Akbar!

Is there any problem with me sort of 'rethinking' the way Islam should be? There are a number of things that people say about Islam that make sense, but some things just don\'t appeal to me and I don\'t agree with it. So, what should I do? And does this affect me being a real Muslim?
