لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Say:

"Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.

He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.'' (6:162-163)

Five Pillars of Islam

عن ابن عمر قال قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم بني الإسلام علی خمس شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزکاة والحج وصوم رمضان

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles): (1) To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Messenger of Allah. (2) To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers. (3) To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity). (4) To perform Hajj (i.e. Pilgrimage to Makkah) (5) To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

ابن عمرنے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا اسلام (کا قصر پانچ ستونوں) پر بنایا گیا ہے، اس بات کی شہادت دینا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے اور یہ کہ محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، نماز پڑھنا، زکوۃ دینا، حج کرنا، رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔

The three monotheistic religions -- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam-- all purport to share one fundamental concept: belief in God as the Supreme Being, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. Known as “Tawhid” in Islam, this concept of Oneness of God was stressed by Moses in the Biblical passage Known as the “Shema,” or the Jewish creed of faith: “Hear, O Israel The Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

It was repeated word-for-word approximately 1500 years later by Jesus when he said “...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.” (Mark 12:29)

Muhammad came along approximately 600 years later, bringing the same message again: “And your God is One God: there is no God but He” (The Qur'an, al- Bakarah(2):163)
