some sickness

slam Religion's status.

When we fall ill or our bodies are taken over by some sickness, understand that this is a test from Allah and a reminder for us all. A reminder that we depend solely on Him, that only in His hands and by His Will are we safe, secure and healthy, and most importantly that Allah is the Most Merciful of the Merciful.
Because, even with this sickness, He has blessed us with a chance for our sins to be expiated. Allahu Akbar!!

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira (R.A): The Prophet (saw) said,
"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."
... [Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 70, Number 545]

And in another statement :

"Expect good, because Allah (s.w.t.) makes a believer's sickness an expiation (for his sins) and a period of repose. As for a disbeliever falling sick, he is like a camel whose owner ties it and then lets it loose --it does not understand why it was tied, nor why it was freed."
[Recorded by Bukhari in al-Adab ul-Mufrad (no. 493), verified authentic by al-Albani]

So with this sickness, we are also being reminded to always have faith and belief in Allah's Qadar and His plan for us, and that He wants the best for us.

And, O children of Adam and O servants of Allah, understand that even when the body is plagued with sickness, the soul is alive, when the body is tired, the soul still maintains all of its energy, and when the body is unable to worship Allah, the soul is still able to worship Allah.

Alhamdulillah for the bounty of Islam upon us. A believer is always in a win-win situation.
