It clearly consists of two component ... Know the God & follow the messenger that sent by God.
Believe the God words & follow the teacher (The Prophet) is a must.
That why Jesus has his Sahadah as the Muslim has their Sahadah...THERE IS NO GOD EXCEPT ALLAH & MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF GOD.
Christian should follow the Sahadah teach by Jesus ... You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." John 17:3
