BLOOD CIRCULATION AND THE PRODUCTION OF MILK

BLOOD CIRCULATION AND THE PRODUCTION OF MILK

The Qur'an was revealed 600 years before the Muslim scientist Ibn Nafis described the circulation of the blood and 1,000 years before William Harwey brought this understanding to the Western world. Roughly thirteen centuries before it was known what happens in the intestines to ensure that organs are nourished by the process of digestive absorption, a verse in the Qur'an described the source of the constituents of milk, in conformity with these notions.

To understand the Qur'anic verse concerning the above concepts, it is important to know that chemical reactions occur in the intestines and that, from there, substances extracted from food pass into the blood stream via a complex system; sometimes by way of the liver, depending on their chemical nature. The blood transports them to all the organs of the body, among which are the milk-producing mammary glands.

In simple terms, certain substances from the contents of the intestines enter into the vessels of the intestinal wall itself, and these substances are transported by the blood stream to the various organs.

This concept must be fully appreciated if we wish to understand the following verse in the Qur'an: "And verily in cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of what is inside their bodies, coming from a conjunction between the contents of the intestine and the blood, A milk pure and pleasant for those who drink it." [Al-Qur'an 16:66] [Translation of this Qur'anic verse is from the book "The Bible, the Qur'an and Science" by Dr. Maurice Bucaille]

"And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat." [Al-Qur'an 23:21]

The Qur'anic description of the production of milk in cattle is strikingly similar to what modern physiology has discovered.

RAIN AND WINDS

RAIN AND WINDS

Winds have a vital role in forming clouds and descending rains, this reality was discovered only few years ago , but the Qur'an told us fourteen century ago about that fact, let us read ….

Meteorologists have made many experiments about the mechanism of forming clouds and descending of rains. After many theories they proved that winds have an important role in forming the clouds as it carries water vapor from seas and oceans to the air's upper layers, but the water atoms have to be collected and condensed to form clouds.

Here the winds start to fertilize the clouds, how does it occur? Winds carry dust atoms and fine salt and these atoms ascend to the upper layers (up to many kilometers) where temperature is very low to form drops which make heavy clouds weighing thousands of tons!!

Scientists discovered that clouds in the sky have a huge weight which is up to millions of tons. In spite of that weight clouds still there. Indeed, Allah almighty is the doer of that as He subjected all physical rules like density rule and gravity rule as without these rules clouds might be gone and life on earth will stop.

Thanks God for all of your graces.

Allah almighty had subjected all physical rules to control movement of water, its dissolving and evaporation, the disturbance of any rule may cause the water to goes inside the ground and life to end. Glory to Allah who says: (And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.)(Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn- verse18).

The Qur'an tells us about the role of winds in fertilizing the clouds, God says: (And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse22).In this verse we can find many scientific miracles:

1. The word (send) is a precise word from the scientific point of view because sending operation should be organized and that what the scientists had found in the maps of winds distribution which were taken by satellite.

2. Winds fertilize the clouds which cause rains to descend from the sky.

3. The descended water is pure and drinkable.

4. The descended water is stored in great banks underground for millions of years.

All of these fact were summarized in only one verse, the question is: are these precise and eloquent facts a human made?

We have to admit that any disturbance in only one cause of rains will leads to scarcity of sweet water and increase in salt water, then life will be contaminated.

Fourteen years ago no one had got the knowledge about forming rains or knew anything about role of the winds in forming rains, but the new science confirmed all of that.

Hence, mentioning these facts in the Qur'an is a testimony that this book is sincere and that Islam is the religion of truth.

1. The Statement of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم: “The best of people are my generation then those who succeed them, then those who succeed them”

[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5/199, 7/6 and 11/460) and Saheeh Muslim (7/184 and 185)]

This excellence and goodness which the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم attested to for these three generations, is an indication of their preference, precedence and majestic rank as well as their knowledge of Allaah’s laws and intense adherence to the way of His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.

2. The Messenger’s صلى الله عليه وسلم statement: “The Jews split up into seventy-one sects, the Christians split up into seventy-two sects and this Ummah will split up into seventy-three sects; all of them are in the Fire except one.” Someone asked: “Which is that one O Messenger of Allaah?” He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: “Whoever is upon that which I am upon [today] and my companions.

[Sunan Abu Dawood (4596-4597), al-Tirmidhee (2640-2641), Musnad of Imaam Ahmad (2/332, 3/120 145 and 4/120) and Ibn Majah (3991-3993) and the wordings are of al-Tirmidhee, and Shaikh al-Albaanee graded some of its chains as “Saheeh”, some as “Hasan Saheeh” and others as “Hasan”]

3. His صلى الله عليه وسلم statement: “… for indeed, those who will still be alive after me will see many differences; so hold fast to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the rightly guided khaleefahs after me. Adhere to and cling tightly to it and beware of newly-invented matters, for every newly-invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is a deviation.”

[Musnad of Imaam Ahmad (4/126-127), Sunan Abu Dawood (4607), al-Tirmidhee (2676), Ibn Maajah (43) al-Daarimi (1/44) and others and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

Hence, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم encouraged his ummah to follow his Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided khaleefahs after him at the appearance of splits and differences.

WAY TO PERFORM ISTIKHARA:

WAY TO PERFORM ISTIKHARA:
First pray Two (raka') of ritual Prayer (nafil) After finishing prayer recite this (supplication/dua'): Dua in Arabic Text above.

TRANSLATION: "O Allah! I seek goodness from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might) I seek strength, and I ask from You Your Great Blessings, because You have the Power and I do not have the power. You Know everything and I do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen. Oh Allah! If in Your Knowledge this action ------------------------------------------------ (which I intend to do) is better for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for me and make it easy for me and then add blessings [baraka'] in it, for me. O Allah! In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for me, bad for my religion and faith, for my life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from me and turn me away from it and whatever is better for me, ordain [destine] that for me and then make me satisfied with it."

The basic principle regarding worldly customs is that all customs are permissible as long as there is no evidence that they are unlawful. This makes it easier for Islam to be accepted by different cultures. The basis of this is the saying of Allah Almighty:

"Say: Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good things of provision?" (7:32)

"Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, he surely, will receive an easy reckoning." (84:7-8) meaning, easy without any difficulty.

This means that he will NOT be investigated for all the minute details of his deeds. BUT verily, whoever is reckoned like that (investigated), he will certainly be destroyed. Imam Ahmad recorded from `A'ishah that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) said,
«مَنْ نُوقِشَ الْحِسَابَ عُذِّب»
"Whoever is interrogated during the reckoning, then he will be punished." `A'ishah then said, "But didn't Allah say,
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَاباً يَسِيراً
"He surely will receive an easy reckoning." '' The Prophet replied, "That is not during to the Reckoning, rather it is referring to the presentation. Whoever is interrogated during the Reckoning on the Day of Judgement, then he will be punished."

(This Hadith has also been recorded by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Jarir)

May Allah forgive our sins and bless us all with an easy reckoning!

Animal Welfare in Islam

Animal Welfare in Islam

In Islam, mistreating an animal is considered a sin. The Quran and guidance from the Prophet Muhammad, as recorded in hadith, give many examples and directives about how Muslims should treat animals.

◕ Animal Communities

The Quran describes that animals form communities, just as humans do: "There is not an animal that lives on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but they form communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they all shall be gathered to their Lord in the end" (Quran 6:38).

The Quran further describes animals, and all living things, as muslim - in the sense that they live in the way that Allah created them to live, and obey Allah's laws in the natural world. Although animals do not have free will, they follow their natural, God-given instincts - and in that sense they "submit to God's will," which is Islam. “Seest thou not that it is Allah Whose praise all beings in the heavens and on earth do celebrate, and the birds (of the air) with wings outspread? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise, and Allah knows well all that they do.” (Quran 24:41)

These verses remind us that animals are living creatures with feelings and connections to the larger spiritual and physical world. We must consider their lives as worthwhile and cherished. "And the earth, He has assigned it to all living creatures" (Quran 55:10).

◕ Kindness to Animals

It is forbidden in Islam to treat an animal cruelly, or to kill it except as needed for food. The Prophet Muhammad often chastised his Companions who mistreated animals, and spoke to them about the need for mercy and kindness. Here are several examples of hadith which instruct Muslims about how to treat animals.

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Reward for mercy:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from Abu Umama that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Whoever is merciful even to a sparrow, Allah will be merciful to him on the Day of Judgment."

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Animals are like humans:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

“A good deed done to an animal is like a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as cruelty to a human being."

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Animals cannot speak up for themselves:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from Sahl ibn Al-Handhaliyya that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, once passed by a camel that was so emaciated that its back had almost reached its stomach. He said, "Fear Allah in these beasts who cannot speak." (Abu Dawud)

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Mental cruelty also forbidden:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from AbdulRahman bin Abdullah that a group of Companions were once on a journey with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he left them for a while. During his absence, they saw a bird with its two young, and they took the young ones from the nest. The mother bird was circling above in the air, beating its wings in grief, when the Prophet came back. He said, "Who has hurt the feelings of this bird by taking its young? Return them to her." (Muslim)

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Forgiveness of sins:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that a prostitute once saw a dog on a very hot day going round and round a well, lolling its tongue because of its thirst. She drew some water for it using her shoe, and for this action all her sins were forgiven her. (Muslim)

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Mistreatment is a sin:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah, once saw a donkey which had been branded on its face and he said, "May Allah curse the one who branded it." (Muslim)

●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
Give rest to beasts of burden:
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○

It is related from Abu Hurayra that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not use the backs of your animals as chairs. Allah has made them subject to you, so that by them you can reach places that you would not otherwise be able to reach except with great fatigue." (Abu Dawud)

◔ Pets ◔

A Muslim who chooses to keep a pet takes on the responsbility of the animal's care and well-being. They must be provided with appropriate food, water, and shelter. The Prophet Muhammad described the punishment of a person who neglected to care for a pet:

It is related from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "A woman was once punished after death because of a cat which she had kept confined until it died, and because of this she entered the Fire. She had neither given it food or drink while confining it, nor had she let it free to eat the creatures of the earth." (Muslim)
