THE MOSQUITO
Did you know that when Allah ﷻ gave an example with a mosquito, the unbelievers were amazed and said: “How is it appropriate for the Creator of the universe to set an example with a small insect?”
Allah ﷻ says:
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَسۡتَحۡیِۦۤ أَن یَضۡرِبَ مَثَلࣰا مَّا بَعُوضَةࣰ فَمَا فَوۡقَهَاۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَیَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَیَقُولُونَ مَاذَاۤ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَـٰذَا مَثَلࣰاۘ یُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِیرࣰا وَیَهۡدِی بِهِۦ كَثِیرࣰاۚ وَمَا یُضِلُّ بِهِۦۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡفَـٰسِقِینَ
“Surely Allah does not shy away from using the parable of a mosquito or what is even smaller. As for the believers, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. And as for the disbelievers, they argue, “What does Allah mean by such a parable?” Through this ˹test˺, He leaves many to stray, and guides many. And He leaves none to stray except the rebellious”— (Al-Baqarah, 2:26)
And those who disbelieve say, "What does Allah want with this example?"
But after 1400 years, the big surprise and the great miracle was understood that the female mosquito has 100 eyes on its head, 48 teeth in its mouth, 3 whole hearts inside its body, and 6 blades in its proboscis, each with a specific function. It has 3 wings on each side, and is also equipped with an infrared “device” that sees human skin in the dark in purple, as well as military-like night-vision devices. It is also equipped with a local anesthesia device so that it can pierced its needle without the feeling like it is sucking blood. It is also equipped with a blood test “machine” because it doesn't like all blood types. It is also equipped with a blood transfusion device to help it suck through the thin opening of the proboscis and is also equipped with an odor device that senses the sweat of a person from 60 meters.
And the strangest thing about all this is that modern science has discovered that on the back of a mosquito lives a miniature insect that cannot be seen without a microscope.
Allah ﷻ says: "Surely Allah does not shy away from using the parable of a mosquito or what is even smaller.”
Glory be to the Lord, glory to the holder of honor, power, pride and greatness.
