We repeatedly say that Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, is a Muslim; whereupon, Christians laugh sarcastically, asking: "When did he embrace Islam?"
I will tell you when; but first of all do you know what Islam is?
Islam means submission and surrender to the Will of Allah the Almighty , Exalted be His Name. It is bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and believing in His Messengers. That is Islam. This is what Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, called for: i.e., bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and submitting and surrendering to the Will of Allah. All Prophets have this in common; i.e., the origin of the Creed which is the Oneness (Monotheism) of Allah (God) and submission to the Will of Allah.
They differed only in the laws; in legislation. Any human being, since the beginning of creation - who believed in the Oneness of Allah, the One and Only who has no partner; and believed in His Messengers and followed His orders and prohibitions - is a Muslim; because he submitted and surrendered to the Will of Allah the Almighty.
As we all know that Jesus Christ neither named his religion after himself, Christianity, nor his followers as Christians. The word 'Christianity' is derived from the Christ . He himself never uttered it. The label 'Judaism' ,as well, came after the division of the Israelite kingdom into Judea and Samaria. As for Islam, it is the name of a special quality of all those who submit and surrender themselves to the Will of Allah the Almighty and are sincere and faithful in the worship of Allah the Almighty, exalted be His Name.
Jesus Christ says:
"Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17: 3

Further in order to become Muslim it's mandatory to accept Adam, Noah, Abraham, David,Moses and Jesus (pbut) as prophets of God,Holy Qur’an as the Final word of God. Ultimately what clarifies was Islam shows to respect,accept all the leading religions and establish the peace among the mankind
Islam means "submission to the will of God". Muslims accept the Qur’an, as the word of God revealed to His last and final prophet, Mohammed (peace be upon him). Islam states that Allah sent messengers and prophets throughout the ages with the message of Unity of God, and accountability in the Hereafter. Islam thus makes it an article of faith to believe in all the earlier prophets, starting with Adam, and continuing with Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, John and Jesus amongst many others (may peace be on them all).
Surah Al Nahl ( 16:125 ) Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.
How to Convert to Islam
If you believe in the teachings of Islam, it is recommended to make a formal declaration of faith. After careful study and prayer, if you find that you want to embrace the faith, here's how.
Here's How:
1. For a Muslim, every action begins with your intention. Quietly, to yourself, make the intention to embrace Islam as your faith.
2. Say the following words with clarity of intention, firm faith and belief:
3. Say: "Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill Allah." (I bear witness that there is no diety but Allah.)
4. Say: "Wa ash-hadu ana Muhammad ar-rasullallah." (And I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.)
5. Take a shower, symbolically cleansing yourself of your past life. (Some people prefer to shower before making the declaration of faith above; either way is acceptable.)
6. Learn how to pray and practice Islam in your daily life.
7. Continue to learn, study, and grow in your new faith. Seek support from Muslims if available.
8. Maintain your existing family relationships to the best of your ability. Some may have difficulty accepting your decision, but at all times try to keep the doors open and be a good example of humility, kindness, and patience.
9. Share your story, to find camaraderie and to inspire others!
Tips:
1. Before embracing Islam, be sure to spend time studying the faith, reading books, and learning from other Muslims. Browse through the Muslim convert support information on this website.
2. Your conversion should be based on knowledge, certainty, acceptance, submission, truthfulness, and sincerity.
3. It is not required to have Muslim witnesses to your conversion, but many prefer to have such support. God is your ultimate Witness.
4. If you wish to go for Hajj (pilgrimage), a "certificate of Islam" may be required to prove that you are a Muslim. (Only Muslims are allowed to visit the city of Mecca.) Contact your local Islamic center to obtain one; they may ask you to repeat your declaration of faith. Web Sites
