Harvard Recognises Quranic Verse as One of the Greatest Expressions of Justice – The Deen Show: Harvard Law School, one of the most prestigious institutions of its kind in the world, has posted a verse of the Holy Quraan at the entrance of its faculty library, describing the verse as one of the greatest expressions of justice in history.Verse 135 of Surah Al Nisa (The Women) has been posted at a wall facing the faculty’s main entrance, dedicated to the best phrases articulating justice:
“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah , even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted”
According to a Saudi daily, a Saudi student who studies at Harvard first highlighted the development when he published a picture of the display on his Twitter page.
“I noticed that the verse was posted by the faculty of law, which described it as one of the greatest expressions for justice in history,” Abdullah Jumma said.

وقالت اليهود عزير بن الله وقالت النصارى المسيح بن الله ذلك قوۡلُهُم بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡۖ يُضَٰهُِٔونَ قَوۡلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ
30. And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allâh, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allâh. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allâh’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth![3]

Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "They certainly do. [They (i.e. the rabbis and monks) made lawful things as unlawful and unlawful things as lawful, and they (i.e. Jews and Christians) followed them; and by doing so, they really worshipped them]." (Narrated by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Jarîr).

ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ وَرُهۡبَٰنَهُمۡ أَرۡبَابٗا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَسِيحَ ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوٓاْ إِلَٰهٗا وَٰحِدٗاۖ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ
31. They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allâh (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allâh), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] to worship none but One Ilâh (God - Allâh) Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)[4]. Praise and glory be to Him (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."

ومن الأدلة على ذلك ما جاء في حديث معقل بن يسار رضي الله عنه قال :
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " لأن يُطعن في رأس أحدكم بمخيط من حديد خير له من أن يمسّ امرأة لا تحلّ له . "
📙رواه الطبراني وصححه الألباني في صحيح الجامع 5045
ومن الأدلة على ذلك ما جاء في حديث معقل بن يسار رضي الله عنه قال :
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " لأن يُطعن في رأس أحدكم بمخيط من حديد خير له من أن يمسّ امرأة لا تحلّ له . "
📙رواه الطبراني وصححه الألباني في صحيح الجامع 5045
📍ولا شكّ أنّ مسّ الرجل للمرأة الأجنبية من أسباب الفتنة وثوران الشهوات والوقوع في الحرام ، ولا يقولنّ قائل : النيّة سليمة والقلب نظيف فإنّ صاحب أطهر قلب وأعفّ نفس وهو رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يمسّ امرأة أجنبية قطّ حتى في بيعة النساء لم يبايعهن كفّا بكفّ كالرّجال وإنّما بايعهن كلاما كما روت عائشة رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَمْتَحِنُ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِهَذِهِ الآيَةِ بِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ .. قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَمَنْ أَقَرَّ بِهَذَا الشَّرْطِ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ بَايَعْتُكِ كَلامًا وَلا وَاللَّهِ مَا مَسَّتْ يَدُهُ يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ فِي الْمُبَايَعَةِ مَا يُبَايِعُهُنَّ إِلا بِقَوْلِهِ قَدْ بَايَعْتُكِ عَلَى ذَلِكِ .
📘رواه البخاري 4512
وفي رواية : أَنَّهُ يُبَايِعُهُنَّ بِالْكَلامِ .. وَمَا مَسَّتْ كَفُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَفَّ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ .
📗صحيح مسلم 3470
📘رواه البخاري 4512
وفي رواية : أَنَّهُ يُبَايِعُهُنَّ بِالْكَلامِ .. وَمَا مَسَّتْ كَفُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَفَّ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ .
📗صحيح مسلم 3470
وفي رواية عنها رضي الله عنها قالت :
مَا مَسَّتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ إِلا امْرَأَةً يَمْلِكُهَا
📘رواه البخاري 6674
مَا مَسَّتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ إِلا امْرَأَةً يَمْلِكُهَا
