greeting of peace in the quran and the bib;le

 Greeting of peace in Bible

According to Bible Jesus (peace be upon him) greeted his disciples with greeting "Peace be with you" which can be equivalent to Arabic greeting of (السلام عليكم) As-Salāmu `Alaykum?

► John 20 (New American Standard Bible)

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

19 So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews,
➭ Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “peace be with you.” <John 20:19>

20 And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side... <John 20:20>

21 So ➭ Jesus said to them again, “peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”<John 20:21>

26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them.
➭ Jesus *came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” <John 20:26>

► Luke 24:36 (New American Standard Bible)

36 While they were telling these things,
➭ He(Jesus) Himself stood in their midst and *said to them, “Peace be to you.” <Luke 24:36 >

❏ Greeting of Peace in Quran

► Quran 24:61 (Sahih International Translation)

But when you enter houses, give greetings of peace upon each other - a greeting from Allah(God), blessed and good. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses [of ordinance] that you may understand. (24:61)

Similarly in the Bible says:
► Luke 10:5 (New American Standard Bible)

5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’
<Luke 10:5>

► Quran 19:47 (Sahih International Translation)

[Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me.

► Quran 16:32 (Sahih International Translation)

The ones whom the angels take in death, [being] good and pure; [the angels] will say, "Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do."

► Quran 28:55 (Sahih International Translation)

And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant."

► Quran 6:54 (Sahih International Translation)

And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."

► Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) was reported to have said:

Muslim Book 001, Number 0096:

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (God) (may peace and blessing be upon him) said:

"You shall not enter Paradise so long as you do not affirm belief (in all those things which are the articles of faith) and you will not believe as long as you do not love one another. Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you: (i.e.) give currency to (the practice of paying salutation to one another by saying) as-salamu alaikum."

Conclusion:

* Most of Muslims today often time greets each other with As-Salāmu `Alaykum(Peace be upon you) upon entering houses, when meeting brothers, sisters, family members , friends and also people who we do not know them though we give them the greetings of peace. And also while calling someone on phone they also use As-Salāmu `Alaykum(Peace be upon you)..

From above verses of Bible we can say that Jesus(Peace be upon him) also greeted as the same as Muslim today greet each other.

But I do not know of any Christians who greet the same as Jesus(Peace be upon him) as the Bible. But instead most of them use hello, hi, wassup..?

God Allah - Does It Mean God?

jesus knowlige

Jesus had limitations in his knowledge.
(Peace be upon him)

Mark’s Gospel also reveals that Jesus had limitations in his knowledge.

In Mark 13:32,
Jesus declared that he himself does not know when the last day will occur, but the Father alone knows that.

(Matthew 24:36).
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Therefore, Jesus could not have been the all-knowing God.
