SHAVING THE BEARD

Narrated by Ibn ‘Umar (Radia Allahu ‘Anhu) who said that,

The Prophet Muhammad (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said:

“BE DIFFERENT FROM THE MUSHRIKEEN: LET YOUR BEARDS GROW AND TRIM YOUR MOUSTACHES.”

According to another report:

“TRIM YOUR MOUSTACHES AND LET YOUR BEARDS GROW.”

The Prophet Muhammad (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said:

“WHOEVER DOES NOT REMOVE ANY OF HIS MOUSTACHE IS NOT ONE OF US.”

Classed as saheeh by al-Tirmidhi

The Prophet Muhammad (Salla-Allahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said:

“HE IS NOT ONE OF US WHO IMITATES PEOPLE OTHER THAN US. DO NOT IMITATE THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS.”

According to another version:

“WHOEVER IMITATES A PEOPLE IS ONE OF THEM.”

bu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Who will take these words and act upon them or teach someone to act upon them?” I said, “I will, O Messenger of Allah.” So he taught me five sayings, “Beware of what is unlawful and you will be the best worshipper among the people; be satisfied with what Allah has given you and you will be the richest of the people; be kind to your neighbor and you will be a believer; love for the people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim; and do not laugh too often, for indeed, too much laughter will deaden the heart.”

Aayesha Radi Allahu Anha se rivayat hai ki Usama Radi Allahu Anhu ne Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se ek aurat ki sifarish ki ( jisney chori ki thi) to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ki tum mein se pahley ke log isliye halak ho gaye ki wo kamzoron par to had ( Saza) Qayam kartey they aur Buland martaba logo ko chod dete they us zaat ki Qasam jiskey haath mein meri jaan hai agar Fatima Radi Allahu Anha ne bhi chori ki hoti to main uska bhi haath kaat leta

Narrated 'Aisha Radi Allahu Anhu : Usama Radi Allahu Anhu approached the Prophet on behalf of a woman (who had committed theft). The Prophet said, "The people before you were destroyed because they used to inflict the legal punishments on the poor and forgive the rich. By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! If Fatima (the daughter of the Prophet ) did that (i.e. stole), I would cut off her hand."

Meaning of Jihad

The word "jihad" does not mean "holy war". Instead, it means the inner struggle that one endures in trying to submit their will to the will of God. Some Muslims may say they are going for "jihad" when fighting in a war to defend themselves or their fellow Muslims, but they only say this because they are conceding that it will be a tremendous struggle. But there are many other forms of jihad which are more relevant to the everyday life of a Muslim such as the struggles against laziness, arrogance, stinginess, or the struggle against a tyrant ruler or against the temptation of Satan, or against one's own ego, etc.

Remember at the time when they built the tower of Babel God changed their languages and they were scattered throughout the earth. God did not change there mind set just their languages, they took with them the worship of the divine mother and god-child with them. This explains why all nations, in one way or another worshipped a divine mother and god child. Among the Chinese ➽ the Mother Goddess was called Shingmoo or the "Holy mother." She is pictured with child in her arms and rays of glory around her head. The ancient Germans worshipped the Virgin "Hertha" with child in arms. The scandinavians called her "Disa" who was also pictured with a child. The Etruscans called her "Nutria" and among the Druids, the "Virgo-Paritura" was worshipped as the "Mother of God." In India ➽ she was known as Indrani (left), who was also represented with a child in her arms. The Babylonian Mother was known as Aphodite or Ceres to the Greeks; Nana, to the Sumerians; and as Venus or Fortuna to the pagans in Rome, and her child was known as Jupiter. For ages, Isi, the "Great Goddess" and her child Iswara, have been worshipped in India where great temples were erected for their worship. In Asia ➽ the Mother was known as Cybele and the child as Deoius. In Ephesus ➽ the Great Mother was known as Diana(left)the Goddess of Virginity and Motherhood. She was said to represent the generative powers of nature and so was pictured with many breasts. A tower shaped crown, a symbol of the Tower of Babal. The temple that was dedicated to her in Ephesus is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world! She was not only worshipped in Ephesus and throughout Asia, but the world . In Egypt ➽ the Babylonian Mother was known as Isis and her child as Horus. It is common to see this kind of monument in Egypt of Horus seated on his mother . In England ➽ The worship of Mother and Child was also discovered in 1747, a religious monument was found at Oxford, of pagan orgian, on which it exhibited a female nursing an infant. And Finally In Christianity ➽ We Would also Find Mary and Her Child Jesus ,were referred to be The Mother of God "Thus we see,"says the historian, "that the virgin and child were worshipped in pagan times from China to Britain.......and even to Mexico . Prophet (salal lahu alaihi wasallam) said: "The two rakat Sunnah prayer of Fajr is is more superior than the world and everything within it." (Sahih Muslim 1:151)

The Prophet (salal lahu alaihi wasallam) used to recite Surah Al Kafiroon (chapter 109) in the first Rakah of Fajr Sunnah and Surah Al Ikhlaas (chapter 112) in second Rakah (Sahih Muslim)

“Verily, whoever revives a sunnah from among my traditions which has died after me, then he will have a reward similar to whoever acts upon it without taking anything away from their rewards; and whoever introduces an innovation with which Allah and His Messenger (salal lahu alaihi wasallam) are not pleased, then he will have a sin similar to whoever acts upon it without taking anything away from the sins of the people.”
