Similarities Between Islam and Christianity
Similarities Between Islam and Christianity
==================================
Christians and Muslims are more alike than different.
==================================
==================================
Christians and Muslims are more alike than different.
==================================
1. Jesus taught that there is only One God and Only God should be worshipped as taught in Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29.
Muslims also believe this as taught in the Qur’an verse 4:171.
==================================
==================================
2. Jesus didn’t eat pork as taught in Leviticus 11:7 ,
and neither do Muslims as taught in the Qur’an verse 6:145.
==================================
==================================
3. Jesus greeted with the words “as salaamu alaikum” (Peace be with you) in John 20:21.
Muslims also greet each other this way.
==================================
==================================
4. Jesus always said “God Willing” (inshallah),
Muslims say this too before doing anything as taught in the Qur’an verses 18:23-24.
==================================
==================================
5. Jesus washed his face, hands, and feet before praying.
The Muslims do the same.
==================================
==================================
6. Jesus and other prophets of the Bible prayed with their head to the ground (see Matthew26:39).
Muslims do too as taught in the Qur’an verse 3:43.
7. Jesus had a beard and wore a throbe.
It is Sunnah for Muslim men to do the same.
==================================
==================================
8. Jesus followed the law and believed in all the prophets, (see Matthew 5:17).
Muslims do too as taught in the Qur’an verses 3:84, and 2:285.
==================================
9. Jesus’ mother Maryam dressed modestly by fully covering her body and wearing a headscarf (hijab) as found in 1 Timothy 2:9, Genesis 24:64-65, and Corinthians 11:6.
Muslim women modestly dress the same as taught in the Qur’an verse 33:59.
==================================
==================================
10. Jesus and other prophets of the Bible fasted up to 40 days (see Exodus 34:28, Daniel 10:2-6. 1Kings 19:8, and Matthew 4:1-
Muslims do so also during the month of Ramadan.
Muslims are required to fast the full obligatory 30 days (see Qur’an 2:183), and others take it a step further by fasting an additional 6 days to increase their rewards.
==================================
==================================
11. Jesus taught to say “Peace to this house” when entering it (see Luke 10:5), and to also greet the people in the house with “peace be unto you”.
Muslims do exactly what Jesus did and taught.
When we enter our homes and the homes of others we say “Bismillah” and also greet with “as salaamu alaikum” (peace be upon you) as taught in the Qur’an verse 24:61.
==================================
==================================
12. Jesus was circumcised. Circumcision is 1 of the 5 fitrah in Islam, so Muslim men are required to be circumcised.
According to the Bible in Luke 2:21, Jesus was eight days old when he was circumcised.
In the Torah, Allah/God stated to the Prophet Abraham that it is an “Everlasting covenant” (see Genesis 17:13).
In the Qur’an verse 16:123 Muslims are required to follow the religion of Abraham.
The Prophet Muhammad said, “The Prophet Abraham circumcised himself when he was eighty years old.”
==================================
==================================
13. Jesus spoke Aramaic and called God ”Elah”, which is pronounced the same as “Allah”.
Aramaic is an ancient, Biblical language.
It is one of the Semitic languages that also include Hebrew, Arabic, Ethiopic and the ancient Assyrian and Babylonian language of Akkadian.
The Aramaic”Elah” and the Arabic “Allah” are the same.
The Aramaic “Elah” is derived from the Arabic “Allah”, and it means “GOD”.
“Allah” in Arabic also means”GOD”, the Supreme GOD Almighty.
You can easily see the similarity in their pronunciation so this concludes that the God of Jesus is also the God of the Muslims, of all mankind, and all that exist.

Allah says in the Noble Quran:
Allah says in the Noble Quran:
وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ سَقْفًا مَحْفُوظًا ۖ وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ
And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.).
اور آسمان کو ایک محفوظ چھت بنا دیا۔ پھر بھی یہ لوگ اللہ کی نشانیوں کی طرف توجہ نہیں کرتے۔
[Al-Quran, Surat Al-Anbiyah 21, Verse 32, Part 17]
This attribute of the sky has been proved by scientific research carried out in the 20th century: The atmosphere surrounding the Earth serves crucial functions for the continuity of life. While destroying many meteors - big and small - as they approach the Earth, it prevents them from falling to Earth and harming living things.
In addition, the atmosphere filters the light rays coming from space that are harmful to living things. The most striking feature of this function of the atmosphere is that it lets only harmless and useful rays-visible light, near ultraviolet light and radio waves pass through. All of this radiation is vital for life. Near ultraviolet rays, which are only partially let in by the atmosphere, are very important for the photosynthesis of plants and for the survival of all living things. The majority of the intense ultraviolet rays emitted from the Sun are filtered out by the ozone layer of the atmosphere. Only a limited and essential part of the ultraviolet spectrum reaches the Earth.
The protective function of the atmosphere does not end here. The atmosphere also protects the Earth from the freezing cold of the space, which is approximately -2700C (-4540F).
It is not only the atmosphere that protects the Earth from harmful effects. In addition to the atmosphere, the Van-Allen Belt - the layer caused by the magnetic field of the Earth - also serves as a shield against the harmful radiation that threatens our planet. This radiation, which is constantly emitted by the Sun and other stars, is deadly to living things. If the Van-Allen belt did not exist, the massive outbursts of energy called solar flares that frequently occur in the Sun would destroy all life on Earth.
In short, a perfect system is at work high above the Earth. It surrounds our world and protects it against external threats. Centuries ago, Allah Almighty informed us in the Qur'an of the world’s atmosphere functioning as a protective shield.

what's the proof that the angel Muhammad saw was real?
Question:
In the bible (both OT & NT) Gabriel appeared to prophets but none of them were physically hurt nor scared. So what's the proof that the angel Muhammad saw was real?

Answer:
This question; again; rose from the ignorance. However, since the question rose let me make this clear once and for all.
*did other prophets get hurt during their prophecies/ visions?
>yes they did. Daniel reported this
This question; again; rose from the ignorance. However, since the question rose let me make this clear once and for all.
*did other prophets get hurt during their prophecies/ visions?
>yes they did. Daniel reported this
"My appearance was horribly changed and I retained no strength."( Daniel 10:8)
it's not only prophet Muhammad (sm) but other prophets also faced physical stress during their visions. In the case of our father Abraham (as), he wasn't even able to see anything and felt unconscious,
"And a great, dark dread fell over him."( Genesis 15:12)
now the question rises why Muhammad (sm) was afraid when other biblical characters weren't afraid of seeing angels?
answer is simple, they were too. And the new testaments reports this too
Zechariah in bible:
"And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him."(Luke 1:11-12)
"And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him."(Luke 1:11-12)
mother Mary in bible:
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God." ( Luke 1:29-30)
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God." ( Luke 1:29-30)
and just like them it was Muhammad's (sm) first time.
All these show that what Christians/islamophobis accuse prophet Muhammad (sm) of having is actually because of their lack of knowledge. Prophet Muhammad (sm) indeed was a true prophet from Almighty.

many places that bible was edited by man and is corrupted. can you give me an example that it's really corrupted?
Answering Christanity و산더알렉.
Question: Quran says many places that bible was edited by man and is corrupted. can you give me an example that it's really corrupted?
Answer:
bible is a book that has been edited/corrupted from ages to ages little by little by the priests or sages for their evil desires.
to see the corruption in bible you really don't need to go very far in time. You can also get examples that are present here.
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."(KJV, 1 John 5:7)
again read this same verse here
"For there are three that testify:" (NIV, 1 John 5:7)
the words that say "the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." are missing.

The scholars say about this:
“This verse has virtually no support among the early Greek manuscripts . . . Its appearance in late Greek manuscripts is based on the fact that Erasmus was placed under ecclesiastical pressure to include it in his GreekNTof 1522, having omitted it in his two earlier editions of 1516 and 1519 because he could not find any Greek manuscripts which contained it” (Norman Geisler and Thomas Howe, 2008, pp. 540-541).
