In March 2009, Vatican's official newspaper "Osservatore Romano" hailed the Islamic Banking saying: "The ethical principles on which Islamic finance is based may bring banks closer to their clients and to the true spirit which should mark every financial service." The traditional interest based banking benifits only a handful of buisness tycoons who become richer and the majority poor become poorer with every passing day.
