(1) Allah's Messenger(ﷺ) said:
"And when he (intends) to drink he should drink with his right hand, for the Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand. (Muslim)
"And when he (intends) to drink he should drink with his right hand, for the Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand. (Muslim)
(2) The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to breathe three times when drinking (in three sips), and he would say: “It is more thirst-quenching, healthier and more wholesome.” (Muslim)
(3) Anas reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) disapproved the drinking of water while standing (Muslim)
(4) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade from turning the waterskins upside down and drinking from its mouth. (Muslim)
**One may not be able to control the flow and amount of water while drinking directly from a jug or bottle, and this can choke him.

(5) Narrated Abu Sa’id Al Khudri :That the Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited blowing into the drink ( at-Tirmidhi)
(6) Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah will be pleased with His slave who praises Him (i.e., says Alhamdulillah) when he eats and praises Him when he drinks". [Muslim].
