Some argue that if God exists,
Some argue that if God exists, He must be evil. They assert that since He has allowed so much suffering and evil in the world, He cannot be a good. If He is good then He cannot be powerful, because if He had the power then surely He would stop the evil. Therefore a good, all powerful God cannot exist.
This argument, from an emotional perspective, can seem problematic. However, putting emotions to the side, is the problem of evil and suffering argument rationally convincing? Absolutely not. Why? Because it rests on some daring assumptions.
When the relevant Quranic verses and prophetic traditions are understood, these daring assumptions are exposed as false, and the whole argument fails to convince.
