Calling Christians
Many missionaries argue that there is one God but multiple "persons".
In this passage (Isaiah 45:5) it is supposed to be God speaking. If this is supposed to be one of the three "persons" then there is a problem. Let's say that this is the "Father" speaking. Here, this one person says that they alone are God. They *singularly* identify themselves as the *only* God by using the phrase "ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεός", specifically the word ἐγὼ confirms this.
This passage therefore teaches that there is only one "person" who is a God and that there is no other "person" who can be a God.
Furthermore, if it's argued that the passage is being spoken by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit together in unison, then they've combined all three into a whole other additional "person", which makes it the Holy Quadrinity.
John 17:3 where Jesus describes his Creator as the Only True God, dutifully confirms that the truth can only be found in monotheism.
