"Ibn Wahshiyya" is .. the discoverer of hieroglyphs!
It is "The Longing of the Inspired to Know the Symbols of Pens," that book that revealed the pens of ancient alphabets and obsolete languages.
It deciphered 89 ancient languages, including the hieroglyphic language, whose discovery is attributed to the scientist the French Champollion in 1822 AD.
However, Ibn Wahshiya preceded him by eight hundred years. Indeed, the English translation of the manuscript of Shawq al-Mustaham was printed in 1806 AD, that is, about sixteen years before the discovery of Champollion, which confirms that Champollion benefited from his book.
