Islam is not a new religion
We believe in all of the messengers of God from Adam to Noah, Moses and Jesus, till the final messenger Muhammad.
and "obeying his commandments ".
Anyone who submitts himselff to the will of God is called muslim
so we consider Jesus , Moses ,Abraham 
are all Muslims coz they are perfect submitters to God
are all Muslims coz they are perfect submitters to God including Muhammad who was not the founder of Islam but the last prophet of Islam.
He came to teach people the correct pure message after it was altered and modified.
