Yesterday I test ran the manuscript arguments on the crucifixion and so far, I have not been able to find a missionary who was able to manage with it. Some of the responses I got were:
- 500 years later is okay, but something 600 years later is still bad.
- it doesn't matter if it isn't from eyewitnesses or the first century, it's what we have always believed.
- early manuscripts don't matter.
In the end, almost all conceded they had zero eyewitness testimony or early testification to the crucifixion. It's going great! This is only the beginning.
