1. Hold back the yawn as much as possible (1)

Note: Seeking refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan (A‘oodhu Billaahi min ash-Shaytaan ir-rajeem) after yawning is not from the Sunnah and there are no reports to support that the Prophet (ﷺ) had done this. Accordingly, it is best not to introduce something not taught by the Prophet (ﷺ).

(1) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Yawning is from the Shaitaan (the Devil), so if one of you yawns, then let him hold it back as much as he can; for indeed, when one of you says, “Haa (during the act of yawning), the Shaitaan laughs.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3289)
(2) Prophet (ﷺ) said:"Yawning in prayer (salah) is from the Shaitan, so when one of you yawns then let him suppress (it) as much as possible." (Sahih Muslim 2994)
(3) Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: When one of you yawns, he should hold his hand over his mouth, for the devil enters. (Sunan Abi Dawud 5026 Sahih (Al-Albani))
