3. Appreciate each other.
Whoever does not thankful for the little things, isn’t going to be thankful for the big things. Whoever is not thankful to people isn’t thankful to Allah!
It’s more than just say “thank you”, it’s also to feel the gratitude in your heart. To appreciate the other person and to think positively of the other person.
4. Be able to forgive your spouse regularly ; and not take action against each other.
Wouldn’t you like Allah to forgive you? Allah is very forgiving, very merciful.
5. Don’t make unilateral decisions in your marriage! Allah describes the believer in the Qur’an as someone who answers Allah’s call وَالَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ“Those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and who consult each other…”
6. Positive words go a long way! Remember to say good things. “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day… let him say good things.”
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
