*وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّۢ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ*

And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance." If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

The difference between Brain's searching and Allah's direction:

Brain says,this is Europe's Portugal, it's a land, so u won't fall in water, u walk. But Allah knows that if u go to the West from Portugal, you will get an ocean. So Allah will direct you in a way so that you will have no misconception about what will happen next. So Allah orders to be good so that on the judgment day we may not be accused of crimes. But if we say, we don't believe in judgment day, so no problem no matter how much evil we are-then this is like staying in Portugal we guess there is no water next to it, so we keep walking and fall in water.

Brain is to confirm in what situation we are, and Allah's message is to confirm the right direction.
