Sheikh Khalid Yasin
Washi ibn Harb reported: His father and grandfather were companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and they said, “O Messenger of Allah, we eat but we are not filled.” The Prophet said, “Perhaps you eat separately?” They said yes. The Prophet said, “Eat your meals together and mention the name of Allah over it, for you will be blessed in it.”

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Ibn Hajar
Abu Sawwar said, “Some men from the tribe of ‘Adi would pray in the mosque and none of them would break his fast alone. If he found someone, he would eat with him. Otherwise, he would go out with his food to the mosque and eat with the people and the people would eat with him.”

عن أبي السوار العدوي قال كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِيٍّ يُصَلُّونَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ مَا أَفْطَرَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى طَعَامٍ قَطُّ وَحْدَهُ إِنْ وَجَدَ مَنْ يَأْكُلُ مَعَهُ أَكَلَ وَإِلا أَخْرَجَ طَعَامَهُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَكَلَهُ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَأَكَلَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ
