Dhikr is an easy act of worship, yet it is the best and purest of deeds in the sight of Allah. So be sure to keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah during these 10 blessed days.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):
"Shall I tell you about the best of deeds, the most pure in the sight of your Lord, about the one that is of the highest order and is far better for you than spending gold and silver……?" The Companions replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Remembrance of Allah."
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3373) and Ibn Maajah (3790); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
