[1] Jeconiah was the father of [2] Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of [3] Zerubbabel, Zerubbabel the father of [4] Abiud, Abiud the father of [5] Eliakim, Eliakim the father of [6] Azor, Azor the father of [7] Zadok, Zadok the father of [8] Akim, Akim the father of [9] Eliud, Eliud the father of [10] Eleazar, Eleazar the father of [11] Matthan, Matthan the father of [12] Jacob, and Jacob the father of [13] Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and FOURTEEN (14) from the exile to the Christ."
the Bible says 14 generations from the exile to Jesus while counting result only 13 generations
