Why are Christians not told about these things?
There are many tough questions raised about the Gospels by New Testament scholars. Mainstream scholars who teach in universities and seminaries are largely agreed that:

* that what Matthew’s Jesus teaches about the Jewish Law and salvation is radically different from what Paul teac

* that the earliest disciples of Jesus did not think he was divine;
* that in the first centuries before ‘orthodoxy’ was imposed by the Roman Empire, there existed multiple ‘Christianities’ all claiming to proclaim the truth about Jesus;
