Salman ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you fasts, then let him break his fast with dates, but if he does not find dates, then with water because water is purifying.”

عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَمِّهَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى التَّمْرِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ التَّمْرَ فَعَلَى الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ
