I do not know of anything that ruins relationships in this world, and increases punishment in the hereafter like the transgressions of the tongue. Here are three simple guards to protect you, try your best to make it a habit in your life:
1- Is what I am about to say definitely 100% true?
2- Is what I am about to say actually necessary for me to say?
3- Is the intention behind what I'm about to say actually a noble intention?
May Allah purify our tongues, and forgive us for the sins they commit. Ameen.
