Hadith on Death:

Do not wish for death because you might increase in good deeds
==========

Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“Let none of you wish for death.

If he is righteous then he might increase his good deeds,

and if he is sinful then he might repent.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

لَا يَتَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمْ الْمَوْتَ
إِمَّا مُحْسِنًا فَلَعَلَّهُ يَزْدَادُ
وَإِمَّا مُسِيئًا فَلَعَلَّهُ يَسْتَعْتِبُ
