if one gives someone a gift and later collects it back, is it haraam?

🗯️A question asked was if one gives someone a gift and later collects it back, is it haraam?
🍁Alhamdulillah, Islam is a religion that is full of love and not hatred especially among believers.
If we will love someone, let's love him for the sake of Allah, I am loving him or her because she loves Allah.
Sharing gifts among us is sunnah of the prophet s.a.w.
Some times due to the love the messenger of Allah s.a.w had for his wife khadijah r.a, he used to give her friends meat when he had a feast.
The messenger of Allah s.a.w said,
Share gifts among yourselves for it increases love among you.
📒 Musnad Ahmed ibn hanbal
The messenger of Allah s.a.w used to share gifts to soften the heart of non Muslims who like Islam so that they will understand what Islam is.
🎁Gift-giving is one of the good manners that maintains and strengthens relations between the giver and the recipient. It is one of the acts that Prophet Muhammad recommended us-Muslims- to do. Al-Bukhari narrated that ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "The Messenger of Allah used to accept gifts and reward people for giving them."
If one gives someone a gift, it is not halal for him to collect it back.
The prophet s.a.w said,
Anyone who gives someone gift and later collect it back is like a dog who eats his own vommit..
📒Sahih At-Tirmidhi
💭The only place a person can collects his gift back is the one he takes care of.
If a father collects the gift from his son, it is permissible for he is under his care.
