Ibn al-Qayyim writes

Ibn al-Qayyim writes, "There is a difference of opinion over whether Faṭimah (ra) or Aishah (ra) is better, but in reality the one who wishes to arrive at a precise and accurate answer needs to be more discerning, for each is more blessed from a particular perspective.
So if what is meant is the superiority of knowledge and benefit of teaching the Ummah, then Aishah (ra) was more knowledgeable and taught more to the Ummah.
And if what is meant is the superiority of lineage and the nobility of ancestry, there is no question that Faṭima (ra) is superior, and if what is meant is overall leadership (siyādah), then Faṭimah is, as the hadith mentions, the leader of the women of Paradise, and (this blessing) is unique to her over and above her sisters."
