Is it possible, Shakespeare was at least influenced by Islamic values and teachings?
READ (a word definitely familiar to him).
*His "Last Will And Testament" definitely points to beliefs of Muslims:
*All Muslims are required to make a will and testament - Here is his, starting with the first words of the (English translation of Quran):
"IN THE NAME OF GOD, Amen. I, William Shakespeare of Stratford upon Avon in the county of Warwickshire gent., in perfect health & memory, GOD BE PRAISED* [Muslims say "Praise to God (Allah) for everything], do make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner & form following. That is to say first, I commend my Soul into the hands of GOD MY CREATOR . .*
There's more. The end of his Will, he says . .
*"And my body to the earth whereof it is made."
[Definitely words familiar to Jews, Christians and Muslims]
There is also a distinct reference to Jesus, peace be upon him, indicating he is not from the Catholic Church (very much popular at his time)
*"to be made partaker of life everlasting".
Was Shakespeare really influenced by Islam? Or by early Christianity? Is it proof? Or coincidence?
What is your opinion?
