What does this actually mean?
Surely #God is far removed from having a physical and literal son.
#Humans have human children.
Cats have kittens.
What does it mean for God to have a child?
Rather than being taken literally, we find the term “Son of God” is symbolically used in the earliest biblical languages for a“righteous person”, and has been used for David, Solomon and Israel – not exclusively for Jesus: “…Israel is my firstborn son,”(Exodus 4:22).
- In fact, anyone who is righteous is referred to as God’s ‘son’ :
“All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons and daughters.” (Romans 8:14)
-“It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son.
- He is Perfect and Flawless! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be’ and it is.”Quran 19:35
The language of bible is metaphorical
For example jesus said in mathew 15:24
I sent only to the lost sheep of israel.
were israelists animals?
-No
But the language is metaphorical lost sheep means misguided servant of God
Same thing with term son of God which means righyous servant of God meyaphorically not literal
All prophets in bible called sons of God for example:
Adam, who was the son of God.’ (Luke 3:38)
Jacob is God’s son and firstborn: ‘Israel is my son, even my firstborn.’ (Exodus 4:22)
Solomon: ‘I will be his father, and he shall be my son.’ (2 Samuel 7:13-14) Ephraim: ‘for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.’ (Jeremiah 31:9) is God’s firstborn, common people are called the sons of God: ‘Ye are the children of the Lord your God’ (Deuteronomy 14:1) WHO IS THE FIRST SON OF GOD? Genesis 41:51 says MENASSEH is the FIRST son of God! Exodus 4:22 says ISRAEL is the FIRST son of God! Psalms 89:27 says DAVID is the FIRST son of God! Jeremiah 31:9 says EPHRAIM is the FIRST son of God!Regards,
