"Indecent Talk, Yelling at others & quarrelling etc. Reduce the Reward of Fasting."
Explaining the wrong use of tongue, specially a fasting Muslim must avoid, Rasoolullah advises: "Fasting is a shield against the Hell Fire, provided you (i.e. a fasting Muslim) refrain from talking indecently, and from yelling at others, cursing and abusing them or quarrelling with them. In case, some one does so with you, then do not retaliate, stay calm, saying to him that you are fasting."
