🔷 Sunnah of Entering the home 🔷
1. Say Bismillah (1)
2. To Greet those in House with “Assalamu Alaikum” (2)
3. Knocking three times (3)
4. Don’t bang on the door or ring the bell aggressively (4)
5. Step with right foot (5)
6. Use Siwak (6)
7. Entering without disturbing those sleeping (7)

(1) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: When a person enters his house and mentions the name of Allah at the time of entering it and while eating the food, Satan says (addressing himself: You have no place to spend the night and no evening meal; but when he enters without mentioning the name of Allah, the Satan says: You have found a place to spend the night..." (Muslim 2018 a)
(2) “But when you enter houses, give greetings of peace upon each other - a greeting from Allah, blessed and good.” (Quran 24:61)
(3) Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) asked permission to enter, he knocked the door thrice (al-Bukhari 94)
(4) Anas ibn Malik reported that people knocked on the door of the Prophet (ﷺ) using their fingernails. (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1080- Sahih by Al-Albani)
(5) Narrated `Aisha (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) used to start everything from the right (for good things) whenever it was possible in all his affairs; for example: in washing, combing or wearing shoes. (al Bukhari 426)
(6) Shuraih bin Hani (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "What was the first thing which the Prophet (ﷺ) would do when he entered his house?"She replied: "He would use Miswak (tooth-stick)."[Riyad As Saliheen- Muslim ref: Hadith 210].
(7) Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Milk these for us. So we milked them and every person amongst us drank his share and we set aside the share of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ). (It was his habit) to come during the night and greet (the people present there) in a manner that would not wake up one in sleep but make one who was awake hear it. (Sahih Muslim 2055 a)
