I constantly strive to be amongst the few !
,, Al-Qurtubi reported: Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, heard a man saying, “O Allah, make me among the few.” Umar said, “What is this supplication?” The man said, “I refer to the saying of Allah the Exalted: And few of my servants are grateful.” (Sura Saba, Ayah 13) Umar said, “All of the people know better than you, O Umar!”

,, Being grateful is one of the essential qualities of the ultimately successful people; those who are successful in the realms of this world and the next. However, only a few manage to be truly grateful as Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) says in the Quran:
“Surely Allah is bountiful to mankind, but most of the people are ungrateful.” (Surat Al-Baqara, Ayat 243)
,, We are indebted to Allah for all his favors. His blessings on us are innumerable. Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) says in the Quran:
“And He has granted you all that you asked Him for. If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Indeed humankind is truly unfair, totally ungrateful.” (Surat Ibrahim, Ayat 34)
,,O Allah, make us among the few who are grateful to you. Ameen
