FINGERPRINTS
"Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers." [Al-Qur'an 75:3-4]
Unbelievers argue regarding resurrection taking place after bones of dead people have disintegrated in the earth and how each individual would be identified on the Day of Judgement. Almighty Allah answers that He can not only assemble our bones but can also reconstruct perfectly our very fingertips.
Why does the Qur'an, while speaking about determination of the identity of the individual, speak specifically about fingertips? In 1880, fingerprinting became the scientific method of identification, after research done by Sir Francis Golt. No two persons in the world can ever have exactly the same fingerprint pattern. That is the reason why police forces worldwide use fingerprints to identify the criminal. 1,400 years ago, who could have known the uniqueness of each human's fingerprint? Surely it could have been none other than the Creator Himself!

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بنِ مَسْعُوْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ, قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَبَابًا لاَ نَجِدُ شَيْئًا؛ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ! مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ منكُم الْبَاءَةَ؛ فَلْيَتَزَوََّجْ؛ فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ، وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ؛ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ".
(صحيح البخاري, رقم الحديث 5066, وصحيح مسلم, رقم الحديث 1 - (1400), واللفظ للبخاري).
অর্থ: আব্দুল্লাহ বিন মাসউদ [রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু] হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন যে, আমরা নাবী কারীম [সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম]এর সাথে অসহায় অবস্থায় ছিলাম; তাই তিনি আমাদেরকে লক্ষ্য করে বললেন: “হে যুবক সমাজ! তোমাদের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি বিবাহ করার সামর্থ্য রাখবে, সে বিবাহ করবে। যেহেতু বিবাহ হলো দৃষ্টিক্ষুধার মহানিয়ন্ত্রণকারী এবং সতীত্ব সংরক্ষণের মহাসম্বল। আর যে ব্যক্তি বিবাহ করার সামর্থ্য রাখবে না, সে ব্যক্তি রোজা রাখবে। কেননা এই রোজা তাকে তার যৌন উত্তেজনার অমঙ্গল হতে রক্ষাকারী”।
[সহীহ বুখারী, হাদীস নং 5066 এবং সহীহ মুসলিম, হাদীস নং 1 -(1400), তবে হাদীসের শব্দগুলি সহীহ বুখারী থেকে নেওয়া হয়েছে]।

1- রোজা হলো দৃষ্টি ও লজ্জাস্থানের অমঙ্গল হতে সুন্দর ও সঠিক পন্থায় রক্ষাকারী। এবং যৌন কুপ্রবৃত্তির অমঙ্গল হতে মানুষকে সতর্কতার সঙ্গে সংরক্ষণকারী।
2-রোজা হলো যৌন কুপ্রবৃত্তির অমঙ্গল হতে সংরক্ষিত থাকার রক্ষা কবচ। তাই রোজার দ্বারা মুসলিম ব্যক্তির সতিত্বের সংরক্ষণ হয়।
3- রোজা পালনে আনন্দ, অনুভূতি, আত্মিক পরিতৃপ্তি এর সাথে সংযম, কুপ্রবৃত্তি দমন, লোভ-লালসা, হিংসা, প্রতিহিংসা ইত্যাদি ত্যাগ করার আলোকোজ্জল আমেজ-অনুভূতির চর্চা হয়।
4- রোজা পালনের মাধ্যমে ধৈর্যের অগ্নিদহনে মুসলমান মাত্রই কুপ্রবৃত্তিকে দগ্ধ করে শুদ্ধ-পরিশোধিত ও পরিষ্কৃত মানুষে পরিণত হয়।
5- রোজাদার ব্যক্তি তার প্রতিটি অঙ্গ বিশেষত হাত, পা, চোখ, মুখ এবং উদরকে অবৈধ, গর্হিত এবং নিন্দনীয় কাজ থেকে বিরত রেখে সংযমী হয়। দেহের উপর রোজার প্রভাব সুদূরপ্রসারী। ইচ্ছাশক্তিকে নিয়ন্ত্রণে রেখে দৈহিক অঙ্গ-প্রত্যঙ্গকে আল্লাহর নির্দেশিত পথে পরিচালিত করার শিক্ষা লাভ হয়।
6- রোজা পালনের মাধ্যমে আল্লাহকে ভক্তিসহকারে ভয় করার অনুশীলন হয়। আর এই অনুশীলনই অপরাধমুক্ত সমাজ তৈরি করার অন্যতম উপাদান বলে গণ্য করা হয়।
7- ইসলাম মানবতার ধর্ম। সত্যের ধর্ম। কল্যাণের ধর্ম। আর মানুষের কল্যাণ তখনই আসবে, যখন সে কল্যাণের সাধনা করতে সক্ষম হবে। কল্যাণ সাধনের জন্য আত্মসংযম, আত্মশুদ্ধি চর্চার প্রয়োজন হয়। আত্মশুদ্ধির চর্চা ব্যতীত কল্যাণ লাভ হয় না। তাই বলা যায় যে, চিরকল্যাণের জন্য আত্মশুদ্ধির চর্চা আবশ্যক। ইসলাম যেহেতু চিরকল্যাণ ও মানবতার ধর্ম; তাই এই ধর্মে রয়েছে সর্বদা আত্মশুদ্ধির আদেশ। মহান আল্লাহ রোজা পালনের মাধ্যমে আত্মশুদ্ধি অর্জনের বিশেষ সুযোগ রেখে দিয়েছেন। কেননা রোজা মানুষকে লোভ-লালসা, হিংসা-বিদ্বেষ, অনাচার-অত্যাচার পরিহার করার প্রতি আহ্বান করে। আত্মশুদ্ধির জন্য ত্যাগ-তিতিক্ষার পথে পরিচালিত করে।

The American Negro never can be blamed for his racial animosities - he is only reacting to four hundred years of the conscious racism of the American whites. But as racism leads America up the suicide path, I do believe, from the experiences that I have had with them, that the whites of the younger generation, in the colleges and universities, will see the handwriting on
the walls and many of them will turn to the spiritual path of truth - the only way left to America to ward off the disaster that racism inevitably must lead to."
