Graven Images
(According to the Authentic facts from the Bible)
Bible, Exodus 20:4
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Bible, Exodus 20:1-26
And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
Bible, Leviticus 26:1
“You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God.
Bible, Acts 17:29
Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.
Bible, Deuteronomy 4:16-19
Beware lest you act corruptly by making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth. And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
Bible, Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
Bible, Exodus 20:4-5
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
Bible, Isaiah 42:8
I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.
Hebrews 13:17
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Bible, Exodus 20:3
“You shall have no other gods before me.
Bible, Isaiah 44:15
Then it becomes fuel for a man. He takes a part of it and warms himself; he kindles a fire and bakes bread. Also he makes a god and worships it; he makes it an idol and falls down before it.

Be Mindful of Food & Drink and NOT to be Wasteful.

Be Mindful of Food & Drink and NOT to be Wasteful.
(Islamic attitudes towards food)
It is in line with Islamic attitudes towards food. Muslims are commanded in the Qur’an and Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to be mindful of food and drink and not to be wasteful.
Al Quran 141 : 6, for example, highlights this point:
It is He who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters.
Food is seen as a gift from God and thus wasting it is seen as a sign of ungratefulness for this gift.
Moreover, there are many hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) that address Islamic dietary habits at the heart of which is respectfulness towards food.
For example:
Nothing is worse than a person who fills his stomach. It should be enough for the son of Adam to have a few bites to satisfy his hunger. If he wishes more, it should be: one-third for his food, one-third for his liquids, and one-third for his breath.
The point of this hadith is clear: people should eat only as much as they need and they often need much less than they think.
Muslims are commanded by the Qur’an to be mindful of food and not to let it go waste, Muslims should be made aware of the huge amounts of food they waste every day.
“Wasting food is a sin and breaches the very concept of "Ramadan" Islamic scholar explains “Apart from the many health benefits, fasting educates Muslims to experience and understand hunger, deprivation and grief of the needy.”
Muslims to be more careful in managing food, pointing out that the food one person wastes is another person’s meal. He also asked Muslims to share food rather than enjoy it all by himself.
“Food is seen as a gift from God and thus wasting it is seen as a sign of ungratefulness for this gift,”
“A verse in the Qur’an says
‘Give to the near of kin his due, and also to the needy and the wayfarers. Do not squander your wealth wastefully; for those who squander wastefully are Satan’s brothers, and Satan is ever ungrateful to his Lord.’
This makes it clear people must eat only as much as they need and they often need much less than they feel,” he said.
In another Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The food of one person is sufficient for two, the food of two people suffices for four people and the food of four people suffices for eight.”
The Hadith explains that there is enough food in the world but if the level of greed in people vanishes, the poor and hungry can be fed without any crisis.
Be Mindful of Food & Drink and NOT to be Wasteful, Further wasting it is seen as a sign of ungratefulness towards the gift of Almighty, and eat only the much less than the feel and REST SHARE WITH OTHERS ... Certainly its a great blessing.
