Islam teaches a very different truth about Prophet ʿĪsā (Jesus), peace be upon him.
Allah says in the Qur’an:> “They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him—but it was made to appear so to them… Rather, Allah raised him up to Himself.”
(Qur’an 4:157–158)
Prophet ʿĪsā was NOT crucified. Allah saved His prophet from humiliation and death. Allah raised him alive to Heaven—by His power, not by a cross.According to Islamic understanding, the man placed on the cross was not Jesus, but another who was made to resemble him—identified by many scholars as

If Allah created the heavens and the earth by command alone,
would He need a cross to raise His prophet to Heaven?
