“Whoever has an atom’s weight of īmān in his heart will be taken out of the Fire.”
— Sahih al-Bukhāri (22), Sahih Muslim (184)
But the Khawaarij can't handle this.
They reject it—not verbally, but in their creed and practice.
Because their core belief is:
“The one who commits a major sin is a kāfir, doomed forever.”
This completely contradicts the ḥadīth.
To them, iman is all or nothing—you either have perfect belief, or you’re out of the fold.
Make takfīr of the one who drinks alcohol
Excommunicate the one who falls into zina
Spill the blood of Muslims in the name of “purity”
And erase Allah’s Mercy with their own arrogance
“Īmān in the heart can exist even with sin. The Khawaarij deny this, and thus rebel and declare takfīr over matters that do not nullify Islam.”
Don’t fall for the rigidity of the Khawaarij.
Hold on to the words of the Prophet ﷺ—because no ideology is more merciless than the one that claims to represent Islam while denying Allah’s mercy.
