Response to Christianity - IIN
Most Christians today believe salvation is guaranteed — simply by believing in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. But when you study the teachings of Jesus himself (peace be upon him) — not the interpretations of Paul — you’ll discover something very different.
“Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, 'Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?' He said to them, 'Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.”
From the above passage one clearly understands that salvation for a Christian is not a guarantee. But Paul started the false hope in salvation through belief in a blood atonement sacrifice of God's "son". Jesus himself made no such guarantee.
In fact he taught a contrary doctrine:
Most Christians ignore this uncomfortable verse. We read the word 'EVERYONE' will be salted by 'FIRE'
. That includes '#EVERY #CHRISTIAN.'
But even Christian scholars admit this warning is universal:
Pulpit Commentary:
"Every one shall be salted with fire. "Every one." The statement is general in its application. There is no limitation. The good and the evil alike shall be "salted with fire."
MacLaren’s Exposition:
"And so the first point that I would ask you to notice here is-that fiery cleansing to which every Christian must yield."
Matthew Poole:
"For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted."
The Greek word πᾶς (pas) used here literally means: Strong's Concordance:
“all“, “the whole“, “every kind of.“
Jamieson- Fausset -Brown Bible Commentary:
"For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with fire —A difficult verse, on which much has been written—some of it to little purpose. "Every one" probably means "Every follower of mine"; and the "fire" with which he "must be salted" probably means "a fiery trial" to season him."
“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off... it is better for you to enter life maimed than to go with both hands into hell…”
Here, Jesus emphasizes avoiding sin, not belief in a sacrifice. He teaches what Islam teaches: true salvation is through obeying God and abandoning sin.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.”
Again, salvation is for those who obey God — not just those who call on Jesus’ name.
The idea of a "Son of God" dying for the sins of the world didn’t come from Jesus. It mirrors stories from Greek and Roman mythology — like Hercules and others.
Paul, who had a Roman background, blended pagan ideas with the message of Jesus to make it appealing to the Roman world. That’s why his version of Christianity became popular — not because it was true, but because it was easy and familiar.
Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) preached:
This is exactly what Islam teaches — and what Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came to reaffirm.
If you’re truly seeking the path of Jesus (peace be upon him), then follow what he actually taught — not what was invented later.
Jesus Christ Pbuh never taught any doctrine of Atonement as innovated by Paul. Paul came up with this doctrine as an afterthought, trying to make sense of why God would allegedly allow Jesus to be crucified. But the crucifixion didn't happen. Someone else was made to look like Jesus, and that person was crucified instead.
Sons of the Gods and Demigods like Hercules, Kratos and Thor being sacrificed for the greater good of mankind is an often-repeated theme in Pagan mythology which the Hellenistically- educated Paul of Tarsus sought to revive. The pragmatic Paul was desperate to woo the Roman pagans to his own gospel theology of mangod atonement for the sins of mankind. He succeeded, because it was already a familiar pagan theme and because it required no real change in the Romans' hedonistic lifestyles

1. God is explicitly called the Savior
The New Testament repeatedly says “God our Savior”, not “Jesus our Savior”:
Luke 1:46–47 — Mary calls God her Savior
1 Timothy 1:1 — “God our Savior”
1 Timothy 2:3–5 — God saves; Jesus is a mediator
1 Timothy 4:9–10 — “the living God, who is the Savior”
Titus 1:3; 2:10 — “God our Savior”
2. Jesus is a mediator, not the source of salvation
1 Timothy 2:5 — “one God and one mediator… the man Christ Jesus”
Salvation is from God, delivered through Jesus.
3. Salvation is attributed to God, not Jesus
Luke 3:6 — “all people will see God’s salvation”
Acts 28:28 — “this salvation of God”
2 Timothy 1:8–9 — God saved by His grace, given through Jesus
4. Jesus confirms only God can save
Matthew 19:25–26 —
“Who then can be saved?”
Jesus: “With God all things are possible.”
5. Jesus needed God to save him
Hebrews 5:7 — Jesus prayed to the One able to save him from death
He feared, prayed, learned obedience, and was “made perfect”
6. Logical conclusion
God = True Savior
Jesus = servant, messenger, mediator
Salvation comes from God, by God’s grace, through Jesus
Jesus is not the Savior in the absolute sense.
He is a means used by God, who alone is repeatedly, explicitly, and consistently called “the Savior” in the New Testament.
