The First to Call to the Qur’an While Going Against It: The Khawārij

 Muslims against Khawarij

📖 The First to Call to the Qur’an While Going Against It: The Khawārij
They shouted,
“No rule except the rule of Allah!”
“We want to judge by the Qur’an!”
But ironically, they were the first group in the Ummah to use the Qur’an as a weapon—not for guidance, but for rebellion.
During the caliphate of ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (رضي الله عنه), when arbitration was agreed upon between the two Muslim parties, the Khawārij declared:
“Judgment belongs to Allah alone!”
Yet ʿAlī (رضي الله عنه) responded with wisdom:
“A word of truth, but by it they intend falsehood.”
📚 [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim]
They quoted verses, recited beautifully, and appeared pious…
But they misused the Qur’an to justify:
Takfīr of the righteous
Rebellion against Muslim rulers
Murder of innocent Muslims
🛑 This is the legacy of the Khawārij:
📌 Appearing to honor the Qur’an — while violating everything it commands.
📌 Using its verses to attack the very Ummah it came to purify.
🎯 The Prophet ﷺ warned about them in clear terms:
“They will recite the Qur’an but it will not go beyond their throats.”
“They exit the religion like an arrow passes through prey.”
📚 [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Muslim]
📌 True followers of the Qur’an are not those who merely recite it loudly.
They are those who understand it as the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions did — and apply it with justice, mercy, and balance.
🛡️ If you see people today calling to the Qur’an but spreading chaos and bloodshed — know you’re witnessing the revival of Khawārijism in a modern form.
Stay firm upon the Salafi path — the only path that safeguards the Qur’an with true understanding.
Help us expose the reality of the Khawārij and other misguided groups—with clarity, evidence, and authentic Islamic knowledge.

Your charity is not just money—it’s a stand for truth.
Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:
"If those who give Sadaqah [charity] knows that their Sadaqah falls on Allah (Taʿālā)'s Hand before the hand of the poor, then surely, the joy of giving would be more than the joy of receiving."
