Liars!! ALLAH HAS BOTH HANDS RIGHT AND LEFT AND PROPHET'S SAYING THAT BOTH HIS HANDS ARE RIGHT MEANS HONORABLE
(Salafī / Atharī) of:
1. What does it mean that both of Allah’s Hands are Right?
2. Does Allah have a Right Hand and a Left Hand?
3. What did Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn actually say?
4. What are the references from hadith and classical scholars?
I will give only authentic references.
Sahih Muslim (1827)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
> «وَكِلْتَا يَدَيْهِ يَمِينٌ»
“Both of His Hands are Right.”
It means His Hands are perfect, complete, and free from imperfection.
In Arabic language, “left” (يسار / شمال) can be used to indicate imperfection, weakness, or inauspiciousness.
So the hadith negates any deficiency from Allah.
It simply means: Allah’s two Hands are equally perfect.
Not like creation, where the left hand is usually weaker.
1. Imam al-Nawawī (Sharh Muslim 13/372):
> “Meaning: both His Hands are described with honor, goodness, and perfection; there is no left hand in the sense of deficiency.”
2. Ibn al-Qayyim (Badā’i‘ al-Fawā’id 4/39):
> “The meaning is that both His Hands are perfect, blessed, free from the deficiency that is associated with the left (hand) among creation.”
3. Al-Dhahabī (al-‘Uluw, p. 102):
> “It means both Hands are noble and perfect, not like the left of creation.”
Hadith of Ibn ‘Umar — Musnad Ahmad
●Ahmad (no. 5723), authenticated by al-Albānī in al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥah (no. 839):
> «وَكِلْتَا يَدَيْهِ يَمِينٌ، ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُ بِهَا وَيَبْسُطُ، فَيَقْبِضُ بِإِحْدَاهُمَا وَيَبْسُطُ بِالأُخْرَى»
●Another hadith:
Hadith of Ibn Mas‘ūd — Sunan Abī Dāwūd (no. 4757)
●●●Authenticated by Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Dhahabī, and al-Albānī:
> “Allah will take His creation in His Right Hand… and the others in His Left Hand.”
He affirmed that:
1. Allah has two Hands.
2. One is explicitly called Right Hand.
3. One is explicitly called Left Hand in sahih hadith.
4. The hadith “Both of His Hands are Right” means both are perfect — not that Allah literally has two right sides.
Ibn ‘Uthaymīn — Sharḥ al-Wāsiṭiyyah (vol. 1, p. 241–244)
> “We affirm that Allah has a Right Hand and a Left Hand, as authentically reported.
And the meaning of ‘both His Hands are Right’ is that both are blessed and perfect, not characterized with any deficiency such as the left hand among creation.”
Fatāwā Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (vol. 1, p. 196)
> “The Left Hand of Allah is a real attribute, but it is not a left of deficiency.
Rather, it is a Left Hand that is perfect, blessed, and does not resemble the left of creation.
And both His Hands are Right in the sense of
barakah and perfection.”
1. Hadith: Both Hands are Right → means no deficiency.
2. Hadith: Allah has a Right Hand and a Left Hand → describes their distinctness.
This is the reconciliation of:
●Ibn Taymiyyah
●Ibn al-Qayyim
●Ibn Baz
●Ibn ‘Uthaymīn
●al-Albānī
●al-Sa‘dī
●All affirm the same creed.
---
Sahih Muslim (2854) — “Allah created Adam with His Hand.”
Sahih Muslim (1827) — “He grasps the heavens with His Right Hand.”
Sunan Abī Dāwūd (4757) — “The others in His Left Hand.”
Authenticated by:
●•Ibn Taymiyyah
●•al-Dhahabī
●Ibn al-Qayyim
●Ibn ‘Uthaymīn
●al-Albānī
Sahih Muslim — “Both of His Hands are Right.”
“Right” = perfection, honor, barakah
“Left” = is a name only, not deficiency like humans

Now proofs Allah has two eyes
Below are the authentic Sunni (Ahl al-Sunnah al-Athari/Salafi) proofs that Allah has Two Eyes, with clear hadith, scholar explanations, and textual references.
---
Sahih al-Bukhari (no. 7407) & Sahih Muslim (no. 2933)
Narrated by Ibn ‘Umar:
> «إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ، وَإِنَّ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ أَعْوَرُ الْعَيْنِ الْيُمْنَى»
“Allah is not one-eyed, while the Dajjāl is blind in his right eye.”
If Allah is not one-eyed (a‘war), this means:
So negating a‘war = affirming two eyes.
This is the strongest explicit proof in the Sunnah.
---
Surat al-Qamar 54:14
> ﴿تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا﴾
“Sailing under Our Eyes.”
أعين in Arabic = plural of eyes.
The Salaf said:
Allah has two Eyes, and the plural is used for exaltation.
Just like “We created” (plural of majesty).
---
Sahih al-Bukhari (no. 6858)
In the hadith of the veil:
> «حِجَابُهُ النُّورُ، لَوْ كَشَفَهُ لأَحْرَقَتْ سُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ مَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ بَصَرُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ»
This clearly affirms Allah’s sight, which is connected to His attribute of Eye.
---
Imam Ibn Khuzaymah (Kitāb al-Tawḥīd 1/106):
> “Allah has two Eyes, and this is known from the authentic Sunnah: the hadith of Dajjāl proves it.”
Imam al-Darimī (al-Radd ‘ala al-Jahmiyyah p. 40):
> “It is established that Allah has two Eyes, real, befitting His Majesty.”
Imam Ibn Qutaybah (Ta’wīl Mukhtalif al-Hadith p. 261):
> “The meaning of ‘Allah is not one-eyed’ is that He has two Eyes, unlike the Dajjāl.”
---
Ibn Taymiyyah (Majmū‘ al-Fatāwā 6/370):
> “The hadith of the Dajjāl shows clearly that Allah has two Eyes.”
Ibn al-Qayyim (al-Ṣawā‘iq al-Mursalah 1/252):
> “A‘war is someone blind in one eye; this implies that Allah has two Eyes, and both are perfect.”
Ibn Baz (Fatāwā Ibn Bāz 3/143):
> “Ahl al-Sunnah affirm that Allah has two Eyes, as proven by authentic hadith.”
Ibn ‘Uthaymīn — Sharḥ al-‘Aqīdah al-Wāsitiyyah (p. 108)
> “The hadith ‘Allah is not one-eyed’ indicates clearly that Allah has two Eyes.
We affirm two Eyes, real, befitting His Majesty.”
---
Ahl al-Sunnah affirm:
This is the creed of the Sahabah, Salaf, and the Atharī scholars.
